Kodya, Yogyakarta - With the incessant whirring of the blender, background chatter of other patrons, television blaring out more doom and gloom news as nature fires a broadside at the human race who had failed to take good care of her, I sit amidst the bustle, sipping on a cold blend of berry juice and ponder on the realities of life that has fast closed in on me.
"There's more to life than just this" (or just that, whichever you prefer), I have probably heard that line a thousand times, and honestly have also lost count on the number of times I myself had used it. But with all severity, could there be more to life than just love? Love not only in the romantic sense, but in its entirety, its boundlessness, and what is becoming quite a catch phrase for certain organisations in recent years, "without borders".
A small fluffy brown teddy bear clutching a heart that had the words "Love conquers all" caught my eye the other day as I took a last walk around the local mall before moving off yet again. We truly live in a cliched world, full of cliches that are of our own making. And perhaps, just perhaps, "time will tell" if I was right all along.
